About

Trust charter

Trust is SAGOMEEN’s founding value. This charter sets out the rules that contributors, businesses and the moderation team follow.

What contributors commit to

  • Publishing reviews based on a real, personally lived experience.
  • Expressing how they felt honestly, without seeking to harm or to artificially favour.
  • Not publishing defamatory, insulting or discriminatory content.
  • Not publishing reviews in exchange for payment or any other benefit.
  • Not creating several accounts to influence a rating.
  • Respecting privacy: not naming identifiable people in reviews.

What the platform commits to

  • Never letting a business pay to change or remove a rating.
  • Computing and showing a transparent trust index for every place.
  • Distinguishing verified reviews from ordinary ones with clear badges.
  • Moderating reported content within reasonable time.
  • Protecting contributors’ identity (email address never public).
  • Logging moderation actions to guarantee transparency.

What is forbidden

  • Fake reviews, automatically generated reviews or paid-for reviews.
  • Creating accounts solely to influence a rating.
  • Organised smear campaigns against a business.
  • Publishing personal information about a business’s staff.
  • Spam, advertising links or commercial content in reviews.

Sanctions

Reviews that breach this charter may be hidden by moderation. Accounts that repeatedly breach it may be suspended. Sanctions are proportionate and explained. Any contributor may contest a moderation decision.

Editorial independence

Business accounts let places complete their information and reply to reviews, but never give them the right to delete or modify a review. The platform’s credibility comes before any commercial interest.
